This knife profile was inspired by camp knives but with edge thickness and performance somewhere closer to that of a kitchen knife. Edge is sharpened to a 1000 grit finish. The finish on the blade is similar to that of a cast iron pan. Seasoning was applied during the tempering process. the finish appears burnt brown to straw gold colour in differing light. The blade was symmetrically ground for either a right or left handed handed user. The profile has a decent amount of rock making it ideal for cutting herbs on a board or for cutting through joints of a chicken thigh. I imagine it would perform equally as well as a camp knife for whittling sticks or as a kitchen knife for those who prefer to cook with a smaller blade. Handle is easily removable with a threaded take down construction. The fully stabilized handle is made from recycled beech from a palette and has a decent amount of discolouration from being left outdoors for years in the harsh northern prairies of Canada.
